Old Bisbee & Tombstone Canyon

Look for the large flock of Turkey Vultures that roosts in the cottonwoods, alongside Zone-tailed Hawks, Mexican Jays, and Acorn Woodpeckers.

Zacatecas Canyon

A quiet trail starting at the end of Brewery Gulch, perfect for spotting Canyon Wrens and Black-chinned Sparrows.

Vista Park (Warren)

An oasis that occasionally attracts “odd” birds like Lewis’s Woodpeckers and Red Crossbills.

Lavender Pit Overlook

Common site for Rock Wrens along the southern edge of the mining pit.

Whitewater Draw Wildlife Area

A short drive away, famous for up to 20,000 wintering Sandhill Cranes (October–March) and various waterfowl.

Ramsey Canyon Preserve

Located in the nearby Huachuca Mountains, this is a mecca for hummingbirds (over a dozen species) and the rare Elegant Trogon.

Ash Canyon Bird Sanctuary

A dedicated site known for its photographer-friendly setup and rare sightings like the Lucifer Hummingbird.
