The architecture alone is worth the trip; the centerpiece of the ground floor is the original bank vault, which has been converted into a high-security display room for rare coins, vintage jewelry, and small collectibles. Stepping through the massive steel door feels like stepping back into the town’s copper-fueled heyday.
If you descend the stairs into the basement of the Miners & Merchants Antique Center, be prepared for a sudden spike in your heart rate. Tucked away among the racks of vintage clothing and dusty mining equipment sits one of Bisbee’s most famous “residents”: a notoriously creepy, lifelike mannequin that has startled many an unsuspecting tourist.
