Step into the Frame
The Broadway Stairs Gallery is a unique, open-air “vertical gallery” integrated into one of Bisbee’s famous historic stairways.

Located just off Brewery Avenue in the heart of Brewery Gulch, it serves as a public art space where the town’s steep hillside infrastructure meets creative expression.

Unlike traditional indoor spaces, the gallery consists of rotating murals, mosaics, and framed weather-resistant artworks installed directly onto the building walls and fences of the stairs.

The gallery is free to the public and accessible year-round, embodying Bisbee’s philosophy that art should be woven into the everyday landscape.

Essential Logistics:
- Location: The stairs connect Brewery Gulch to the upper residential reaches of Bisbee. Look for the entrance on the west side of Brewery Gulch, near the Bisbee Seance Room.
- Hours: Always open! As an outdoor public installation, you can visit 24/7. However, it is best viewed in daylight to catch the detail of the artwork.
- Cost: Completely free.
- Respect Local Privacy: While the stairs are public, they are the primary access for several homes. Keep noise levels down and stay on the designated steps.
