Dot’s Diner

A 1950s Time Capsule at The Shady Dell

Located at the entrance of the The Shady Dell, Dot’s Diner is a perfectly preserved 1957 Valentine diner that was originally built in Wichita, Kansas, and later transported to Bisbee. It’s the centerpiece of a vintage trailer court, offering a high-fidelity “step back in time” experience where the chrome is polished and the neon is bright.

The diner was discovered decaying in a backyard in Los Angeles in the early 1990s by the original owner of The Shady Dell. It was shipped to Bisbee and painstakingly restored to its current condition.

Today, most dining occurs in a sprawling, retro-themed outdoor courtyard. Guests eat under umbrellas or in a heated tent, surrounded by vintage RVs, classic cars, and even a historic boat.

Known for scratch-made comfort food, the menu features 100% Angus Chuck & Brisket burgers, “dang good” jambalaya, fried chicken and waffles, and pork belly breakfast sandwiches.

The site includes a full bar, often operating out of a vintage Airstream trailer, serving craft cocktails, mimosas, and Bloody Marys.
