Wild West Style Reimagined
For those who want to “stand out from the herd,” The Mad Cow Company in Brewery Gulch is a must-visit destination for one-of-a-kind Western gear and handcrafted artistry.

Owned by Patrick and Amy Smith, this small family business specializes in handcrafted jewelry, apparel, and high-end Western hardware.

They are renowned for their custom bits and spurs adorned with turquoise and silver, as well as unique belt buckles, “dandy duds,” and boutique gift items.

Most exclusive items are crafted in their backyard bunkhouse right here in Southern Arizona, ensuring every piece has authentic “artistic imperfections”.

Essential Logistics:
- Location: 34 Brewery Avenue, right in the heart of Brewery Gulch.
- Hours: Generally open daily from 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Like many Bisbee shops, they may stay open a bit later on weekends or during town festivals.
- Pricing: Since much of the inventory is handmade or high-grade leather, prices are higher than a typical souvenir shop but reflect the craftsmanship.
- Custom Orders: If you want a specific leather design, ask about their custom commission timeline; they often ship finished pieces to visitors after they’ve returned home.
- Pet Friendly: Like most of Bisbee, the shop is generally welcoming to well-behaved children, dogs and drunks.
